JetBrains will be exhibiting at the Norwegian Developer Conference next week. Myself, Oleg “Don’t EVER separate me from my iPad” Stepanov, Eugene “If there’s anything you want to know about ReSharper, he’s your man” Pasynkov and Eugene Petrenko from TeamCity will be there.
We’ll be doing demos, prize raffles, and of course giving out the (now famous) “I see dead code” T-Shirts.
I’ll also be giving 3 talks, one on CouchDB, another on Code Contracts and a third on Mocking. Conference organizers have been kind enough to spread them out for me over the 3 days so that I cannot get smashed until the last night. Oh well! You know what they say: If you’re going to Norway and want it to be legal, it’s got to happen at NDC.
So if you’re going to NDC and want to discuss any issues, tell us about your next feature request that will revolutionize the world, get a T-Shirt or even (I know…sounds crazy) say hello, stop by our booth.
See you there!

Next week some of the JetBrains crew will be in Las Vegas, Nevada and from what I hear, apparently its going to be work-related (still, it’s Vegas. There’s always time to play).
We’re going to be at DevConnections, where we’ll be launching ReSharper 5, to coincide with the Visual Studio 2010 launch so if you are in the vicinity, come by our booth. There’s going to be a bunch of us there and you can come and meet some of the developers behind ReSharper.
Apart from seeing the latest and greatest ReSharper 5 features, you can find out about our latest product, dotCover, as well as all some of the other tools we have (dotTrace, TeamCity, YouTrack or even RubyMine). You might even win some prizes!
I’ll also be giving a vendor session on Test Driven Development of ASP.NET MVC Applications at 5:30 pm on April 13th, where you’ll see some MSpec and of course the new features for ASP.NET MVC we have in ReSharper.
After Vegas, I’ll be heading out to Warsaw for the Communities to Communities Conference, where I’ll have a talk on (yep, you guessed it) Architecting ASP.NET MVC Applications and then from there, on to a mini-tour of User Groups in Poland with The Undutchable and others. I was meant to go to Wroclaw, Krakowice and Krakow, but unfortunately I can only do Wroclaw. So the mini-tour has become a very mini tour for me. And what’s worse, I’ll miss some home-made Barszcz. Sorry Krzysztof :(.
Week after that I’ll be at the VBUG4Though conference in Birmingham.
And remember, if you’re in Vegas and you run into me after 9 pm, I might not sound too coherent.
Actually make that 9 am.

I've uploaded the presentation and demos for the VAN Alt.Net Hispano last night. I'd like to thank Jorge and Fabián for organizing the event. And to Zachariah Young for access to the Live Meeting account. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was great to see so much participation from everyone, despite going on for over 2'30 hours.
You can download the material from here, and from what I'm told it will be available on the Alt.Net Hispano web site also.
You can download the video from here

I'll be doing several talks next week at two different events. At BASTA 2009 Spring I have the following sessions:
- Introduction to ASP.NET MVC
- Advanced ASP.NET MVC

All on topics I enjoy tremendously. Then on Friday I'm heading off to Madrid to do a talk on Automation of Testing at the SOLO PRUEBAS 2009 Conference
Hope to see some of you there.

I'll be doing an Introduction to jQuery tomorrow at our local user group. It will cover a bunch of goodies including the basics, Ajax and extending jQuery. The talk will be pretty much the same in contents as the one I'll be giving at BASTA in about 2 weeks. Obviously tomorrow's is in Spanish :). There's already 25 people signed up and although there's limited space, feel free to come by even if you haven't signed up. We'll finish off the evening with a round table discussion.

I'll be in Seville tomorrow to talk about some of the upcoming features in Visual Studio 2010 among other topics. Then on Tuesday I'll be at Microsoft in Reading doing a 5 hour seminar on team work, project management and a whole bunch of other goodies. I'll cover topics such as:
- Project management using Agile techniques
- Unit Tests, Integration Tests and Continuous Integration
- Build Automation and Release Management
among other topics.
You can still register for this event. Both events are free and the one at Reading includes coffee break and lunch! Instead of giveaways, iMeta will donate 5 pounds sterling per attendee, to a Children's Charity.

While I was at TechEd in Barcelona last week, I had a chance to sit down with Mark Dunn from .NET Rocks and talk a little bit about ASP.NET MVC and jQuery. They've recorded the interview. You can watch it here

I'll be doing a talk in Belgium next month at the Visual Studio User Group, where I'll be covering topics such as Separation of Concerns, Single Responsibility, Interface Segregation, Dependency Injection and Inversion of Control, along with examples of IoC containers. There's limited space (90) and already 55 signed up, so if you're in or around the neighbourhood, got nothing better to do than here my brag, come along. I think they are organizing a geek dinner afterwards so it should be fun. Although the talk will be in C#, the important things to grasp are the concepts, not the language, be it Visual Basic, Delphi or whatever else (obviously it needs to be a OO language).

Here's my presentation from my TechEd talk on ASP.NET MVC. I'll be uploading the demos as soon as I get them cleaned up. Any questions, you know how to reach me.
